The release date of Gokul Suresh and Arthana Vijayakumar's upcoming Malayalam movie "Mudhugaub" has been revealed. Director Vipin Das has confirmed that the movie will hit the screens in Kerala on May 13.
The makers have called it a "caper thriller," a never-before-told genre in Malayalam cinema. The trailer of the comedy entertainer, released on April 16, has been opened to a positive response from the movie-goers. As the title suggests, the movie seems to be the after effects of a kiss and almost all the actors are seen kissing in the one-minute-30-second trailer. "Mudhugauv," which means "kiss," was a term first coined in the Mohanlal-Sobhana starrer superhit Malayalam 1994 film "Thenmavin Kombath."
The upcoming movie marks the acting debut of superstar Suresh Gopi's son Gokul and actor Vijayakumar's daughter Arthana. Gokul plays the lead role Bharath and Arthana will be seen as Ganga in the movie. While Rahul Raj has composed the music, the cinematography has been handled by Kugan S Palani and Lijo Paul has edited the movie.
"Mudhugauv," which is being produced by Sandra Thomas and Vijay Babu under the banner of Friday Film House in association with Carnival Motion Pictures, also has Vijay, Soubin Shahir, Baiju, Indrans, Abu Salim, Harish, Prem Kumar, Sunil Sukhada, Kottayam Pradeep and Neena Kurup in significant roles.
