Episode 7 of tvN's Goblin, also known as Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, does not paint a happy picture for Eun Tak and Kim Shin, as the final moments of the preview shows Eun Tak getting into an accident.
The promo features a lot of happy moments between the goblin and Eun Tak and it looks like Shin might get some new competition for Eun Tak's heart, as the promo shows her interacting with a hot baseball player. Shin is clearly not impressed, and another scene shows him going in search of the new man in Eun Tak's life. We also get a glimpse of a happy and carefree moment between Shin and Eun Tak before the bus she's travelling in is hit by another vehicle.
Meanwhile, the previous episode of the Korean drama has raised a lot of questions regarding Eun Tak's role as the goblin's bride, as she was unable to remove the sword that's lodged in his chest. Is she really the goblin's bride or was she lying all along about being able to see the sword?
Fans of the show has come up with a number of theories on why Eun Tak was unable to remove the sword, with many believing that true love is the key. Meanwhile, others believe that Shin is leaving behind a lot of emotional baggage, such as the grudge against the king who killed him and the regret at being responsible for the deaths of a number of people. Only after he is at peace can Eun Tak remove the sword, thereby ending his immortal life.
