Players fantasizing about being a goat in the latest video game, Goat Simulator will have new features that will prep up the game further. The new patch 1.1 allows players to challenge Russian President Vladimir Putin's stance against the lesbian and gay community. The patch will be going live from 4 June.
The game is similar to the skateboarding games but here players will control the goat and they can wreak as much havoc in the game as possible. The game has an open-world setting that has a humours gameplay. Players can destroy things, do a backflip, do a headbutt and other crazy things. The game also features various Easter eggs. However, there are various in-game goals that can be achieved by the player but there are no rules as such to play the game.
The new update will be bringing in more goats to the game, addition of local splitscreen multiplayer and a new map, a mini Minecraft game, ability to wallrun and taking political stances aginst Putin. A new map will offer a model called Put-In Hotel which has Pride flags decorated all around it. The studio takes a dig at Putin's move to remove rights for the lesbian and gay community.
"We really wanted to piss Putin off, and if he ever plays the game, I hope he'll see it. We also wanted to make good use of the fact that we have hundreds of thousands of people playing our game that might usually not be interested in this kind of stuff, and reach them in a way they never expected," said Armin Ibrisagic from developer Coffee Stain Studios, Polygon reported.
Goat Simulator was released on 1 April 2014 for PC. Its Linux and Mac releases are not yet dated.
