The worlds highest-paid model, Gisele Bundchen, walked her runway finale at the Sao Paulo Fashion Week on 15 April, retiring from the catwalk after almost a decade in the fashion spotlight.
Her retirement comes with Bundchen widely recognised for still being at the top of her fashion game. Forbes reported last year that the Brazilian model took home estimated earnings of $47m (£31.5) during the past year from lucrative contracts and other business ventures, making her the worlds highest paid model for the eighth consecutive year.
Bundchen stepped out for the last time in a juxtaposition of fine white lace and leather gladiator boots as part of Colccis Spring/Summer 2016 collection, which appropriately reflected her trademark balance of grace and power on the runway.
In the audience was Bundchens husband New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, with whom she has two children, who she says she plans to focus her time on from now on, alongside working on print campaigns.
