Girls' Generation member Taeyeon established her presence as a solo artist after releasing the video for her new single "I." The video, which featured rapper Verbal Jint, got one million views in less than 12 hours and sought it's place in the top 8 charts on music apps like Melon, Naver Music, Mnet, Bugs, Genie and more, reports Kpopstarz.
Whilst Taeyeon is basking in the glory of her new found success as a solo artist, you might wonder if all her band mates are supportive of her new career.
The answer is, most definitely, a resounding yes. In fact, one of the Girls' Generation members, Tiffany, was overcome with emotion for her friend's success and even cried.
On the Naver V app, Taeyeon spoke to Tiffany on the phone to state that the support she received from her was overwhelming. The "Gee" singer revealed, "When I finished recording and I let Tiffany hear the first version, she suddenly started crying."
Her band mate Tiffany admitted that she and the rest of her band members broke down after listening to Taeyeon's recording.
She added, "Taeyeon prepared so much for this album, and I know that it's an album that was made because of her effort. That's why I couldn't just listen to it. We've been together for 11 years, and I'm so happy that I'm able to see such a cool side of Taeyeon and hear her music," reported Allkpop.
The website also stated that the Girls' Generation members showed their support for Taeyeon's solo album on their SNS app.
