The exiting Season 2 of "Girl Meets World" ended with the previously aired episode 30 "Girl Meets Legacy." Although the finale addressed the love triangle between Riley (Rowan Blanchard, Lucas (Peyton Meyer) and Maya (Sabrina Carpenter), the episode did not resolve it.
To be fair, creator and show runner Michael Jacobs had warned beforehand that Season 2 was not about romance, it was about friendship. However, the upcoming season is going to be all about love and how the children of John Quincy Adams try to control their feelings.

Fans waiting to see a stereotypical love triangle, however, are going to be disappointed, because we have been warned time and again that "Girl Meets World" is not the tale of a teenage romance. The show encompasses something much bigger and broader, to answer which the writers have used the help of a love triangle storyline in Season 2.
In fact, it is understood that the upcoming season will see every friend in the gang being brought in to the equation. So all you shippers of minority couples like Riley and Farkle (Corey Fogelmanis), Maya and Uncle Josh (Uriah Shelton) and Riley and Zay (Amir Mitchell Townes) can hope to see your OTPs materialised.
