Gionee has announced a new device from the "S" series, the S6 Pro. It is a mid-range handset and the successor of the Gionee S6 that was launched in November last year. The new device comes with several feature upgrades over its predecessor.
According to a Weibo post (via FoneArena), Gionee S6 Pro has a complete metal body along with a fingerprint sensor. It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display with 1,920×1,080 pixels (403 ppi pixel density), measures 153×75.26×7.6mm in dimension and weighs 170g.
Under the hood, the device has a 1.8 GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor, Mali T860MP2 GPU, an Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Amigo OS 3.2, 64GB internal memory expandable memory up to 128GB with microSD card, 4GB RAM, 13MP main camera with LED flash and PDAF, an 8MP front-snapper, and a 3,130mAh battery. It also supports 4G LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB Type-C.
The S6 Pro will be available in rose gold, silver and gold colours. It c omes with a price tag of 1999 Yuan (around $300/Rs. 20,400), and can be purchased from Gionee Shop in China.
