Chinese smartphone maker, Gionee has released budget handset dubbed as Pioneer P4 in India via online store.
Touted to be the successor of Pioneer P3, launched in December last year, Pioneer P4 ships with upgraded features such as increase in RAM, camera specifications, storage and battery capacity.
The new Gionee phone sports 4.5-inch FWVGA (854x480p) TFT screen with Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core processor with 1GB physical memory and 8GB inbuilt storage capacity (expandable up to 32GB).
Other stipulated specifications include 5.0-megapixel main camera, a 2.0-megapixel front camera for video chat, an 1800 mAh Li-polymer battery which can power the device up to 16.5 hours of talk time and close to 386 hours under standby mode. On connectivity front, it features dual-SIM slots (WCDMA+GSM), 3G network support, Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), micro-USB v2.0 and A-GPS for navigation.
As of now, Pioneer P4 has been made available at e-commerce website, e-Bay for 9,500. It will be competing with newly released HTC Desire 310, Iris Pro 30, Iris 406Q, iBall Andi 4.5P Glitter and others.
