Gionee has not confirmed the exact release date of its upcoming mid-ranged smartphone dubbed as the Marathon M4 but its launch is imminent with the company having revealed on its Facebook page that the smartphone would be launched this month.
The China-based smartphone makers Monday posted a photo with a caption that reads: "M4 is here! Let's meet in June. Always in power #GioneeM4." The post not only revealed the first look of the device but also exposed some of its key features.
Gionee Marathon M4 is a smartphone with 4G LTE connectivity, powered by a strong 5000 mAh battery and come with a Metal design, according to the company's post on its Facebook page. It is reported that the device will have an incredible talk time of 65 hours, standby time of 463 hours (more than 19 days), and game time of 13 hours.
According to a report by Android Headlines, the Gionee Marathon M4 is expected to sport a 5-inch screen with 720p display, powered by a MediaTek processor clocking at 1.3GHz, and come packed with a 1GB RAM.
Meanwhile, Phone Arena has claimed in a report that the device might come with features like 16 GB of internal memory and 1.5 GB RAM, and 8 MP main camera and 5 MP front snapper. Its report on screen size and display is in sync with that of Android Headlines. The website went on to claim that the price of the device could be below $300 considering the price of the Marathon M3 which is currently available at around $200.
