Chinese smartphone maker Gionee on Monday (24 June) expanded its flagship CTRL V handset series with the launch of the affordable quad-core CTRL V4 smartphone in India.
Gionee CTRL V4 sports a 4.5-inch FWGA touch-screen with 954x480p display resolution and pack a 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 quad-core chipset with PowerVR GXT series graphics engine.
The new phone houses 512MB RAM, 4GB inbuilt memory which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card and features add-ons like Yamaha PA 168 series audio system, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, and dual-SIM slots.
In terms of camera specifications, it ships with a 5.0-megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash support on the rear side and on the front side, it flaunts a VGA camera.
As of now, details regarding the date of availability of the Gionee CTRL V4 in the local retail stores is still under the wraps.
Considering the features and its price-point, Gionee CTRL V4 will compete against Lava's XOLO Q700, Nokia Lumia 520, Micromax Canvas Music and Karbonn S1 Titanium which fall in the same class of affordable smartphones.
