Gionee unveiled its flagship device Elife S8 at the Mobile World Congress 2016 (MWC 2016) in Barcelona, Spain. It comes with a loop metal design and a tagline that reads "Make Smiles."
Gionee Elife S8 sports a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display with 1,080x1,920 pixels (401 ppi pixel density) and narrow bezels. It measures 154.3x74.9x7mm in dimension, weighs 148 grams, has a fingerprint sensor and comes with 3D Touch feature, which is seen in Apple's iPhone 6s.
The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 SoC processor, runs on Gionee's latest operating system Amigo 3.2 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes packed with a 64GB internal memory and a 4GB RAM. It also houses a 16MP camera with PDAF and f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP secondary snapper and a 3,000mAh battery.
In terms of connectivity, it supports dual SIM, FDD, TDD, LTE Category 6, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3G, and 4G and also has sensors like Proximity, Ambient and Gyroscope.
Gionee Elife S8 comes with a price tag of €449 (around Rs. 34,000) and will be available in three colours -- Rose Gold, Silver and Gold. It will be available for purchase by the end of March.
