The makers of Dangal have released a new song titled Gilehriyaan. The song video shows the journey of Geeta Phogat, played by Fatima Sana Shaikh, as a teenager amid her wrestling training.
Gilehriyaan is a soft melodious song rendered by Jonita Gandhi, composed by Pritam and written by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The video of the song showcases the freedom that Geeta's character experiences for the first time during her professional wrestling training.
It portrays how Fatima started ignoring her onscreen father, Aamir Khan, after she makes some friends outside her small world and starts exploring the fun-filled world of a teenager. The video also features Sanya Malhotra, who plays the character of Babita Kumari.
This is the third song from Dangal, the film based on the life of veteran wrestler Mahaveer Singh Phogat and his two daughters, who are also wrestlers. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal is one of the most-awaited movies of this year.
Two other songs — Dhaakad and Haanikarak Bapu — have been released earlier. While the first song showed the hardships that the two girls faced during their initial training for the sport, the second track highlighted their wrestling prowess since childhood.
