Pakistan ghazal singer Ustad Ghulam Ali will not attend the Mumbai concert, which was scheduled for 9 October, ANI quoted event organiser Randhir Roy as saying.
Shiv Sena on Wednesday said that ghazal maestro Ustad Ghulam Ali's upcoming concert in Mumbai should be cancelled.
The musical performance was scheduled to take place on Friday, 9 October, at Shanmukhanand Hall in Matunga, Mumbai.
Sena reportedly said that they cannot have cultural ties with Pakistan as the latter is violating ceasefire agreements continuously and killing Indian jawans.
In April, the Sena had forced cancellation of Pune concert by another Pakistani singer Atif Aslam in Hardaspur.
In 2014, a performance by the Sufi rock concert band Meekal Hasan at the Mumbai Press Club was also disrupted by Shiv Sena, said earlier reports.
