Even as fans wait for the sequel/reboot of the 2016 "Ghostbusters" movie, which is expected to be released July 15, a new listing has revealed that a game version of "Ghostbusters" is likely to be out before the movie.
A pre-order listing on retailer NewEgg revealed that the game will be released July 12, which is just two days before the new movie hits theatres. The listing shows the game will roll out on PS4 and Xbox One, and mentions Activision as the game publisher.
The description in the listing is the same as that of the 2009 "Ghostbusters" video game, which was developed by Terminal Reality, according to Attack of the Fanboy. This listing is an interesting development since the game has not yet been announced by Activision.
"Ghostbusters" is a supernatural comedy film that will feature stars like Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. It has been directed by Paul Feig. The film will be released July 15.
