A song teaser of Vijay's "Puli" has been released on Friday, 24 July. It is a romantic song that has been crooned by Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Shruti Haasan.

The music of "Puli" has been written by Vairamuthu and composed by Devi Sri Prasad. This is the fourth time that the music director is scoring music for a Vijay starrer after "Thirupaachi", "Sachein" and "Villu". The audio will be released in a grand way on 2 August.

In order to generate positive vibes around the album, the makers of "Puli" have decided to release the single well in advance. The positive buzz will boost the audio sales and help the movie strike the chord with the cine-goers.

In the mean time, the release of a single on Friday made Vijay fans happy. They are using multiple hashtags on Twitter to express their happiness and excitement over the release.

It has also been learnt that the makers have planned a mega event to officially launch the music. As per the buzz, it will be released at Confluence Resort in Mahabalipuram. But the makers are yet to confirm the same.

"Puli" is visually-rich film made with the a budget of Rs.100+ crore. Apart from Vijay and Shruti Haasan, Kiccha Sudeep, Hansika Motwani and yesteryear actress Sridevi Kapoor will be seen playing key roles in the flick. The movie is jointly produced by Shibu Thameens and PT Selvakumar.
