Now, get ready to shell out extra for Honda models in India. Following in the footsteps of other car-makers in India, Honda Cars India has announced the prices of its models in the country have been increased by up to Rs 10,000.
With the latest hike, the price of Honda's small car Brio has gone up by Rs 2,000 and the cost of premium sports utility vehicle CR-V is up 10,000. While Honda's compact sedan Amaze has witnessed a price hike of Rs 3, 500, its popular City sees a price hike by 3,000, reports PTI.
Honda's premium hatchback Jazz saw an increase in price by Rs 4,800, whereas the price hike of the Mobilio is the same as City, Rs 3,000.
So far this year, auto majors like Nissan, DatSun, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and BMW have announced a hike in prices of their models from January.
While the prices of Maruti Suzuki models have risen up to Rs 20,000, General Motors announced an increase in the range of 2% from January. BMW and Hyundai increased their vehicles' prices by up to 3% and Rs 30,000 respectively. French auto-maker Renault has also joined the price hike bandwagon, and increased the prices of their models by up to 3%.
