The first-look poster of Dileep's upcoming Malayalam movie Georgettan's Pooram was released as a treat to his fans on the actor's 48th birthday on Thursday, October 27. The poster features Dileep, Vinay Forrt and Sharafudheen in the comedy entertainer, which is the directorial venture of K Biju.
Scripted by YV Rajesh and co-produced by Arun Gosh, Bijoy Chandran and Shivanee, Georgettan's Pooram is the second movie of actress Rajisha Vijayan, who rose to fame with the family entertainer Anuraga Karikkin Vellam.
The movie, which also stars Aju Varghese, Renji Panicker, Jayaraj Warrier, Malavika Nair, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sunil Sukhada and T G Ravi in pivotal roles, is scheduled to hit the screens in December as a Christmas release.
The upcoming movie, which is currently being filmed in Kerala's Thrissur district, is rumoured to be made on a whopping budget of Rs 10 crore. Though Dileep's previous outing Welcome to Central Jail opened to mixed response from the audience, Georgettan's Pooram is expected to do wonders like Dileep entertainers as the actor will be seen as a native of Thrissur in the movie.
It has to be noted that Malayalam movies that have been narrated in the backdrop of the cultural capital of Kerala have earned fabulous box office collection in recent times.
However, Georgettan's Pooram will be pitted against few biggies at the Kerala box office due to the Christmas season. The Dileep-starrer will have to compete against Mohanlal's Munthirivallikal Thalirkumbol, Mammootty's The Great Father and Prithviraj Sukumaran's Ezra in December.
