Bill Clinton may have been the reason for George W Bush's father not getting a second term in the Oval Office, but the two seem to have buried the hatchet and are heading towards a friendship that would last a lifetime.
Despite having been at odds with each other in the past, the two former presidents have provided a brilliant example on how to conduct oneself during an argument on the social media.
One of the funniest online wars ever, began on 12 November, when former president Clinton posted a picture of himself reading Bush's book "41: A Portrait of My Father". In the caption, Clinton did not forget to thank him for mentioning him and calling him out for not having a Twitter account.
Received my copy of #41 by #43, George W. Bush. Touching tribute! #HowAreYouSTILLNotOnTwitter #PresidentialTweeters pic.twitter.com/ECWvElzG44

Not one to be outdone, "42", Bush aka "43", posted the same picture on his Instagram account, and retaliated by calling Clinton out for not having an Instagram account. Bush also declared Clinton as his "brother from another mother".
"Thanks, 42! Hope you like the book about your pal, #41. #HowAreYouSTILLNotOnInstagram #PresidentialGrammers #BrotherFromAnotherMother".
The camaraderie shared by the two Presidents – one a Democrat and the other a Republican – has been evident for a while now, especially since they co-launched a new scholars programme at four presidential centres, noted the New York Post.
The event even saw the 43rd President sharing some grandfatherly advice to Clinton, whose daughter Chelsea was pregnant then: "Getready …to be like the lowest person in the pecking order in your family," Bush said.
During the event, Clinton had even mused about writing his own book about the President no: 41, George Bush Sr: "I think I can put one together that would be ready to go," he had joked.
ABC has compiled "14 Hilarious Moments With George W Bush and Bill Clinton" from the Presidential Leadership Scholars programme.
