Kate Middleton has indeed become one of the biggest fashion icons in the world. The Duchess of Cambridge has inspired many celebrities with her dressing sense and the latest to join the list is George Clooney's fiancee Amal Alamuddin.
It is reported that the couple will tie the knot later this month. Adding more fuel to the fire, Amal Alamuddin was recently spotted at the headquarters of Alexander McQueen, the designer who had created Middleton's illustrious wedding gown. She apparently spent quite some time at the designer's place.
Reports have it that the British lawyer might wear a dress by the designers like Ellie Saab and Zuhair Murad, but now it seems McQueen is the front runner.
Creative director of the label, Sarah Burton, created Middleton's gown. Since then the design has become an inspiration for many designers.
In other piece of news it was rumoured that Alamuddin is pregnant with Clooney's child which Clooney's rep had played down.
"Amal is not pregnant," Stan Rosenfield told the Daily News.
Clooney proposed to Amal over a home cooked meal in April. The two have been seen on various dates since then.
"George cooked a meal himself for Amal at home on April 22, then he surprised her by getting down on bended knee and presenting her with the ring," a source told Page Six, adding, "He was so happy she accepted, he was calling friends with the news later that night."
Though the exact date of the wedding is still not confirmed, it is said that the Lake Como could be a beautiful place for the wedding.
"It's only four months away but they want to get married at the end of the summer, in early September, before Amal returns to work, Lake Como would be a beautiful wedding location, but it may not give them any privacy. It is very easy for the public and paparazzi to see into the property," added the source.
Meanwhile, Clooney's friend Brad Pitt recently married fiancee Angelina Jolie in a private ceremony in France. The marriage was a private affair and Clooney sent his wishes to the couple.
"How great is that?" the 53-year-old actor told People about the couple's marriage. "I'm really happy for Brad and Angie and their whole family."
