Actor Nani, whose upcoming movie "Gentleman" will be released on June 17, is reportedly not playing a fan of power star Pawan Kalyan in his forthcoming movie to be directed by Virinchi Varma.
Nani, who is currently busy promoting "Gentleman," is teaming up with Virinchi Varma of "Uyyala Jampala" fame for his next movie, which will be produced by Gemini Kiran under the banner of Anandi Arts. The makers have plans to complete its production soon and release the film in theatres across the globe by the end of 2016.
It was rumoured that Nani would play Pawan Kalyan's fan in the movie. But sources from the industry say that Nani is a big fan of Pawan Kalyan in real life, but he is not essaying any such role in his reel life. The reports about this role are false. "Nani is not acting as Pawan's fan in the movie. It is completely false news," 123 Telugu quoted a source as saying.
Of late, it has become a trend that some young actors imitate or pay tribute to a Tollywood superstar and this aspect drive the fans of the superstar crazy to watch the movie. Sai Dharam Tej has imitated megastar Chiranjeevi's dance moves in "Subramanyam for Sale," while Nithin aped Pawan Kalyan's acting in one of his recent releases. These acts have yielded good results for their films.
In fact, Nani himself did it in his last outing "Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gaadha." The actor was seen playing the role of a Balayya fan from Hindupur, which is Balakrishna's constituency. He even flaunted the tattoo Jai Balayya in the movie. The Nandamuri fans' support made the film a big hit at the box office.
However, Nani is seen romancing Surabhi and Niveda Thomas in "Gentleman," which has been written and directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti and produced by Sivalanka Krishna Prasad under Sridevi Movies. Mani Sharma has composed music for the movie featuring Anand, Srinivas Avasarala, Rohini, Rama Prabha in important roles.
