Genelia D'Souza is a leading Telugu film actress who made her debut in Vijay K. Bhaskar's Bollywood film 'Tujhe Meri Kasam'(2003) with Ritesh Deshmukh.
The 24-year-old actress, who is known for her bubbly role in S Shankar's Tamil blockbuster film 'Boys'(2003), turned to Telugu films and there she made her foothold as the most sought after actress in Tollywood.
Post 'Masti'(2004), she had stayed away from Bollywood for four years till Abbas Tyrewala's 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na' happened in 2008. The commercial success of the film made her return to Bollywood a grand affair.
After 'Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na,' she worked in both Bollywood and Tollywood and she found herself at the top position in both the film industries.
Surprisingly, the next year Genelia came out with another Bollywood semi-hit 'Life Partner'(2009). Following this, she appeared in three Bollywood films - 'Chance Pe Dance' (2010), 'Hook Ya Crook'(2011), 'It's My Life' (2011). But none of them could do well in the box office.
Very recently, Genelia got critical appreciation for her performance in Nishikanth Kamath's Bollywood action thriller 'Force.'
During her eight-year-long career, she acted in nine Bollywood films.
Genelia is working in two Bollywood projects; Mandeep Kumar's 'Tere Naal Love Hogaya ' and in Navdeep Singh's 'Rock The Shaadi.'
