Vijay Deverakonda's Geetha Govindam has struck gold at the worldwide box office in three days. The movie has done well in almost all the centres, thereby doing a big business across the globe.
In the US
Geetha Govindam is set to register its name in the $1-million club in the US. After minting $399,377 from 156 locations in the premieres, the Telugu movie has raked in $200,043 and $134,181, respectively, in the next two days to take its total tally to $733,601.
On Friday, Aug 17, Geetha Govindam came out with flying colors as the early reports say that the Telugu movie has grossed over $224,102 from 130 locations. The weekend holiday mood has helped pull the Telugu audience to theatres in big numbers.
Domestic Box Office
Even in the domestic box office, the collection of Geetha Govindam has remained rock solid. The early reports indicate that the combined distributors' share in Andhra and Telangana stands at almost Rs 14 crore. From the rest of the country, the gross collection of the flick is estimated to be around Rs 3.25 crore. Notably, it has earned over Rs 1.05 crore in Tamil Nadu.
The worldwide gross is estimated to be around Rs 37.5 crore in three days.
The trade trackers have already predicted that Geetha Govindam would become a blockbuster. The performance of the movie has left not just the producer but also the distributors and exhibitors happy as the invested amount is expected to be recovered in the first weekend itself.
Geetha Govindam is a romantic-comedy directed by Parasuram and produced by Bunny Vyas. Rashmika Mandanna and Nithya Menen play the female leads in the film.
