Gautham Menon, who has worked with many top names in Kollywood, is reportedly keen to work with Rajinikanth. The filmmaker has a story ready for the superstar and will soon meet the actor to discuss about the project.
Rumours are rife that Menon is going to meet Rajinikanth next week. The filmmaker's long-time wish is to work with the superstar and he hopes to impress him with his script. It has to be noted that Menon has already teamed up with big names like Kamal Haasan, Ajith and Suriya.
Currently, Rajinikanth is doing Shankar's forthcoming movie "Enthiran 2" aka "2.0." He had taken a break from the shoot due to health issues and is likely to join filming this month. In the mean time, the Tamil superstar has also given a green signal to Pa Ranjith's next movie, which will be produced by Rajini's son-in-law and actor Dhanush under the home banner of Wunderbar Films.
On the other hand, Menon is getting ready for the release of his much-awaited "Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada," which will appear before the audience on Sep. 9. After this project, the filmmaker is expected to do a multi-starrer movie featuring big names from Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
Hence, if Rajinikanth gives a nod to Gautham Menon's film, the movie might start only in late 2017.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth's "Kabali" is heading towards its 50-day run. The film written and directed by Pa Ranjith has done well in Tamil Nadu and a few overseas centres. The Kalaippuli S Thanu-produced flick has Radhika Apte in the female lead role.
