Gautham Menon had earlier hinted that his "Yennai Arindhaal" could possibly have sequels. Now, it has been confirmed by the director himself as he awaits the approval of Ajith for the second instalment.
The filmmaker has opened up on the sequel plan of "Yennai Arindhaal" by saying that the script for the second part is ready. Indeed, he has offered the script to Ajith, who has not approved it yet. Gautham Menon is waiting for his confirmation on the same.
On being asked about the storyline, Menon said that the second part will revolve around the father-daughter relationship of Sathyadev (Ajith) and Anikha Surendran (Isha). It will not showcase the cop story angel in the sequel.
However, even if the "Mankatha" star approves of the sequel, the movie cannot take off immediately as they are committed to other movies. While the actor has a few offers and will begin Siruthai Siva's movie soon, the director will kick-start his "Sattendru Maaruthu Vaanilai", which was halted after Menon got the offer to work with Ajith.
There's also a buzz that Gautham Menon might team up with Vikram for a bilingual movie after completing Simbu's movie. However, it appears like if Ajith gives green signal for the movie, it might begin next year.
"Yennai Arindhaal" was released on 5 February and it won the hearts of the 'class' and family audiences. It features Trisha Krishnan, Anushka Shetty and Arun Vijay in the lead roles.
