The trailer of much-hyped Telugu film Gautamiputra Satakarni, which is the 100th movie of Balakrishna as a hero, was released on Friday, December 16. The makers unveiled the video at a huge-gathering at Tirumala theatre in Karimnagar, Telangana.
The Gautamiputra Satakarni team paid a visit to the famous Kotilingala temple before proceeding to the trailer launch. The place has significance as it was the first capital of Satavahanas in 1st century AD and came under the rule of Satakarni.
Balakrishna, director Krish and the entire film unit were present at the venue to make the trailer launch a successful event. It has to be noted that the video has been simultaneously released in 100 theatres across the Telugu-speaking Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states.
The trailer gives an outline of the story and primarily revolves around Balakrishna's role. Shriya Saran and Hema Malini are also part of the clip, which evokes a lot of curiosity around the film.
Balakrishna steals the show with his powerful one-liners and rich visuals are treat to watch in the clip.
On the other hand, the fans of Balakrishna, who were also awaiting the release of the trailer of Gautamiputra Satakarni with bated breathe, are hoping that the video will go viral like the teaser of Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No150, which set YouTube on fire recently.
Meanwhile, the post-production works of Gautamiputra Satakarni are happening at a brisk pace. The shooting, which was kick-started in April, was wrapped up in the first week of December.
Critically-acclaimed filmmaker Krish aka Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi has written and directed Gautamiputra Satakarni, which is a historical film, based on the life of second century Satavahana ruler Gautamiputra Satakarni.
Shriya Saran plays Vaashishtha Devi, the wife of the emperor, while Bollywood's Dream Girl Hema Malini will be seen in an important role. Kannada superstar Shivaraj Kumar too will be enacting a special character in the flick.
Gautami Putrasatakarni is a joint venture of Saibabu Jagarlamudi, Y Rajeev Reddy and Suhasini Pangulur. The mega-budget project has Chirantan Bhatt's music and Gnana Shekar VS's cinematography. Rajesh G Pandey, Suraj Jagtap, Rama Krishna Arram and Shravan are looking after the editing department.
The movie will released on the occasion of Sankranthi festival 2017 and will clash with Mega Star Chiranjeevi's comeback film Khaidi 150.
