With film offers lined up, things looked pretty positive on Gautam Gulati's resume. But, after he walked out of his debut film "Udanchoo", rumours are rife he has dropped from Ekta Kapoor's film as well.
According to a Bollywood Life report, there's a strong buzz that the young star has been dropped from "Azhar" by Balaji Productions. However, the reasons are yet to be known.
Since there has been no official announcement on the matter yet, this can be counted as a speculation.
Earlier, Gautam cited date clashes as the primary reason for him to walk out of debut film. He further said that since Ekta gave him his first big small screen break, he owes it to her.
"Yes, I informed the producer on Thursday. The dates are clashing with a Balaji production which rolls in June. Ekta ma'am will always be my first priority because she gave me my break on television," he told Mumbai Mirror in an interview from few days ago.
Interestingly, after he said no to "Udanchoo" makers, in which he was to play a con man, there were reports of him being advised by Salman Khan to quit the project.
However, Gautam clarified saying it would have been a big deal for him if he had done so, but as far as walking out of the mentioned film is concerned, the decision was all his.
The stud boy enjoys a huge fan-following on social media, and the news of two films slipping away from his hands might have left them disappointed. But the suave actor has everything planned.
When asked by the leading daily if Ekta was going to launch him on the big screen again, he jokingly said, "I'll launch myself and ensure that my film is a hit."
