Who is Gauahar Khan? A year before she was not a familiar face for many. However, after Gauahar appeared in the controversial reality show "Bigg Boss 7" and emerged as the winner, she became a household name.
Recently, the actress became a hot topic for discussions after she was slapped by a man for wearing a short skirt, while she was hosting the finale of "India's Raw Star" reality show in December.

In a recent interview with Zee News, the attacker, 24-year-old Akil Malik, claimed that he slapped the actress after she paid him and offered a role in "Dabaang 3".
However, Gauahar has dismissed his claims and said, "I have never in my life met this man before I saw him charging at me on 'India's Raw Star' finale. I don't want to give him the two seconds of fame he desperately wants by clarifying any of his rubbish claims."
Born on 23 August 1980, Gauahar was placed in the fourth position in the Femina Miss India pageant, when she was 18 years old. Following this, she participated in Miss International contest, representing India.
Though she was featured in a few music videos and advertisements, it was the reality shows like "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" and "Bigg Boss 7", which helped her to rise to fame. In the dance reality show, she was the first runner-up.
She later made her Bollywood debut with the film "Miss India: The Mystery" in 2003 and went on to appear in item songs for the films "Aan: Men at Work (2004), "Once Upon a Time In Mumbai" (2010) and "Ishaqzaade" (2012) among others. She was also featured in "Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year" (2009) with Ranbir Kapoor.
