As per tradition, a Lord Ganesha idol is immersed in sea after 1, 5 or 11 days of Ganesh Chaturthi. Typically, most Bollywood celebs part with their idols within a day.
Arpita Khan Sharma, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Anil Kapoor, Sonali Bendre and Govinda happily posed for the camera as they bid farewell to Ganpati. While most immersed Ganesha idol in water bodies found around the city, Salman Khan's family decided to go eco-friendly this time.
The household had someone built a make-shift pool within the apartment premises and immersed their organic Ganpati idol in it. Attending the aarti were known faces and regulars from the industry – Riteish & Genelia Deshmukh, Karisma Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Divya Khosla Kumar, Amrita Arora, Daisy Shah, Amy Jackson, Sophie Choudry and Elli Avram among others.
Meanwhile, Shilpa and husband Raj Kundra along with their son, Viaan, danced their heart out and joined the procession up until the visarjan spot. Sister Shamita Shetty too joined the couple in their celebrations.
Sonali and Goldie Behl's Ganpati Visarjan rituals saw some guests, among which Susanne Khan and sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan were present. She later posted on social media: "He loves and sends Blessings to all humans. Religion is just a detail. I pray and worship what I love unapologetically. Jai Ganesha deva."
Govinda and Anil Kapoor bid goodbye to Lord Ganesha with their families in tow and so did Manyata Dutt.
