Ganesh Chaturthi marks the birth of Lord Ganesh and India is celebrating it this year on 17 September.
The highlight of this auspicious festival is the first day when Ganpati is brought home and the last day of 'Visarjan' when the idol is immersed in river or sea.
Also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, the festival is mainly celebrated in Gujarat, South India and Maharashtra. However, people are also aware how the city of Bollywood, Mumbai, is famous for celebrating the Ganpati festival with much fanfare.
From Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty Kundra to Arjun Rampal, many celebrities bring Lord Ganesh idols home and celebrate the 10-day long festival.
This year too, these celebs have brought Ganpati Bappa at their place and have also shared the beautiful images of the idols on social media.
