Indian technology company Intex has launched a gaming-centric smartphone, Intex Player, with an aim to target game-savvy youth for just ₹2,790.
The new gaming smartphone sports a 2.8-inch TFT touch screen with two dedicated gaming buttons for easy access to games and it houses a 1.3-megapixel camera, 1200 mAh battery capable of running 4 hours of talk time and 200 hours standby time.
Other features include video, audio and FM player, and the main USP of this mobile phone is that it comes pre-loaded with more than 1000 games.
However, the company is yet to release the basic specifications such as RAM, processor and OS the phone will be running.
Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, GM-Mobile Business, Intex Technologies (I) Ltd, during the launch event said, "The consumption pattern of mobile phones has drastically changed in the last five years in India. Not only are young professionals using mobile phones for work but are also indulging themselves at leisure time by making use of entertainment features. Thus, it became a critical need to create a phone that would offer our customers the choice to engage in fun activities such as games etc."
