Microsoft released the list of games that would be available for subscribers of its Xbox Games with Gold service, a paid service among Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners for the month of August 2016.
The company announced four new video games for the August edition of Xbox "Games with Gold," according to an official post.
Among the four, both Xbox One and Xbox 360 will get two games each. The Xbox 360 games will be backward compatible with Xbox One, the post confirmed.
The August list is a tad surprising as Microsoft has added "WWE 2K16," which has a huge fan following and it is a relatively new game.
It must be noted that all the games can be downloaded for free for a limited time period.
Here are the four games that were added to the August 2016 edition of "Games with Gold:"
- "WARRIORS OROCHI 3 Ultimate" ($59.99) – is available for free for the entire month of August. This is a hack and slash video game from Tecmo Koei and Omega Force, which was initially released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
- "WWE 2K16" ($39.99) – is available from Aug.16 to Sept.15. This is a professional wrestling video game from developers Visual Concepts and 2K Games.
- "Spelunky" ($19.99) – is available from Aug. 1 to Aug. 15. This is an open source indie platform video game. The game was later re-released as ports to PS3 and PS Vita.
- "Beyond Good & Evil HD" ($14.99) will be available for free through Aug. 31. This is an action-adventure video game from Ubisoft.
