"Game of Thrones" season 6 may be a year away, but fans of the HBO series are not programmed to wait for that long to find juicy scoops, especially with Jon Snow's (Kit Harrongton) death in "Mother's Mercy".
Fans are looking for new casting rumours and theories about the colour change in Jon Snow's dead eyes, to hold on to the hope that their beloved "Crow" may be brought back for season 6.
Now, Carice Van Houten, who plays the Red Priestess Melisandre has given hints that her character might bring Jon Snow back to life. "You've seen her clock Jon Snow, which is a great ending because you think, 'Uh oh, what's going to happen there?'" Van Houten told The New Daily. "You feel that she is concentrating more and more towards Jon Snow ... there are slight hints that something's going to happen."
In Season 5, she goes to the North Wall with Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane), whom she called the Light God's choice for king of the seven kingdoms, and takes a special interest in Jon Snow, who was the Lord Commander there. After Stannis burned his daughter Shireen (Kerry Ingram) alive on Melisanre's instruction, half his army leaves him and his wife commits suicide. The high priestess leaves him to die at the hands of Boltons and rides back to the North Wall.
Her presence at the Wall and the fact that she has the ability to resurrect people, puts hope back in the fans that Jon Snow could very well return for season 6. If the most popular fan theory is correct, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) will be pitted against each other in the future.
Meanwhile, casting calls have been sent out for new characters that will appear in season 6. One is that for Ser Arthur Dayne, as we had mentioned previously.
'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Spoilers: New Characters Cast, Did Jon Snow's Eyes Change Color?
A possible new character for season 6 of "GoT" is Euron Greyjoy, whom the casting call describes as "a pirate". He captains a ship and more importantly is uncle to Theon Greyjoy, who has escaped the evil clutches of Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) along with Sansa Stark (Sophia Turner). Euron's presence would mean a safe refuge for Sansa and Theon, and a possibility for Theon to forget about being Rick.
Theon, in season 5, had revealed to Sansa that he did not kill her younger brothers. Their escape could also lead them to search for Rickon (Art Parkinson) and Bran Stark(Isaac Hempstead-Wright), who did not appear in any of the ten episodes.
Reportedly, Art Parkinson, the young actor who used to play Rickon, has had a sudden growth sprout, since the last time he appeared, and therefore a casting call for his replacement has also been made. He is looking for refuge until he can follow his brother Bran's instructions and take charge as the Lord of Winterfell.
Yet another casting call has been made for Randyll Tarly, who is described as a great soldier is in his fifties. Father to Samwell Tarly, he is one of the greatest warriors of Westeros, and is said to have a pivotal role in the upcoming season. As Sam has left for Citadel to train as a master, the Tarly family, which includes Sam's mother brother and sister, could have prominent roles in the impending story-lines.
