HBO released a short teaser on Monday of the upcoming season of "Game of Thrones," which shows Cersei in captivity and someone on a rowboat, possibly with reference to the city of Braavos.
The teaser is just five seconds long, and it doesn't give viewers a good insight into what can be expected when season 5 returns in spring 2015. The snippets are short and blurry, and according to Vanity Fair, they are "meant to look like visions from the prophetic Westerosi birds."
Initially, the teaser was released only to those fans who had signed up for access to the clip by entering their personal phone numbers on the show's official page. A link to the clip was then sent to their mobile phones, which would disappear after it was played just once. "This Vision Has Come and Gone," a message at the end of the clip noted.
But one fan found a way to upload the clip on YouTube, enabling many to view the footage.

Meanwhile, reactions to the teaser have not been pleasant with many wondering why HBO has put out such a short teaser.
Here are some reactions from YouTube users:
" Honestly they should just stop showing these, unless they show a proper trailer, because this was just a waste, plus why soo damn small," one wrote.
Another attempted to explain the snippets writing: "Closed eye, open inverted eye, Sansa? Maybe, closed eye, human face, wall face, cold crow breath, hallway with dick shaped opening, spiky ornament thing in the middle of where the balls should be, someone on a boat, still on that boat, wet fingers... Woman's face behind mesh, CLOSE BOOK.
"Thanks GOT. Really helpful."
The show's Twitter account was on damage control soon after the trailer was released, telling fans that "a raven will bring you a new vision soon. Thank you for keeping watch."
Season 5 of "Game of Thrones" will air in the spring of 2015.
