Fans have finally bid farewell to "Game of Thrones" season 4, but they can't wait for Season 5 to hit the television screens.
The last season's finale saw many characters being killed including Tywin Lannister, Shae and The Hound. This has made fans wonder how the HBO's series would turn up when it opens for the new season. Here are few hints about the plot of "Game of Thrones" season 5 and its airdate.

"GOT" is based on George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire and the producers of the series David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are said to be considering the material from the fifth and fourth novel of series for the upcoming seasons. The novels are called A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons respectively.
The show has already been renewed for season 5 and season 6 and buzz is that season 5 would deviate a bit from Martin's books.
"We have to make a show that succeeds on its own terms, and sometimes that means veering away from the books. Some people will be upset by that. Some people will like it," Beniofftold The Hollywood Reporter.
"Obviously we hope for more of the latter, but if we ever write a scene (or avoid writing a scene) because we're afraid of pissing someone off, we're sunk. As for season five, we're still figuring out how we can afford everything we want to do. There are a few sequences that are absolutely terrifying from a production standpoint."
Meanwhile, conjecture is that the new season would work on the storylines, which were left in the middle in Season 4's finale. The next season would focus of Dorne and King's Landing's story and Cersei, Tyrion and Arya's new interest would also come under limelight.
It is also being understood that a new storyline would be deduced for Sansa Stark, who was not seen in the last episodes of season 4. Stark has already revealed herself to the Lords of the Vale and it is predicted that the show will draw her character from Martin's unreleased book in the series.
Season 5 would be shot in Spain this time, along with landscape of Croatia, Northern Ireland and Iceland. The production team of "GOT"' would head to Spain in search of Dorne, as per the reports.
It is also being said that a slew of new characters are going to join "GOT" in season 5 including Prince Trystane Martell, Areo Hotah, Nymeria Sand, Tyene Sand (Sand Snakes bastard daughters), High Sparrow, Septa Unella,Obara Sand, Maggy the Frog, Prince Doran Martell, Lollys Stokeworth, Yezzan and the Waif.
