After nine intense episodes, "Game of Thrones" season 5 is coming to an end on 14 June with the episode "Mother's Mercy."
The episode is expected to feature Cersei's much awaited nude walk scene, as the title refers to the chance given to those accused by the Faith Militant to seek God's mercy before their trials if they confess. And because Cersei has been accused of infidelity, she will be given a chance to seek forgiveness before she is forced to do the Walk of Penance or Walk of Shame.
The Walk of Shame will see Cersei stripped naked and forced to walk the streets of King's Landing, as a rowdy crowd jeers.
Interestingly, this is the first time actress Lena Headey, who plays Cersei, will be featured naked on the television adaptation of George RR Martin's fantasy series titled "A Song of Ice and Fire."
Speaking about the nude scene, Headey previously stated that she wanted to keep Cersei clothed because it was a symbol of power for the character. "I've been very adamant about keeping [Cersei] kind of clothed because I think that's part of her power. And she can still be sort of sexual and weird and female, but she doesn't have to be naked. And I think it makes for a more shocking disempowering moment when this happens," the 41-year-old actress told Blastr.
Apart from Cersei's Walk of Shame scene, the episode will see Stannis marching, Daenerys getting surrounded by strangers, and Jon being challenged by his fellow comrades.
Will Jon Snow die? The fate of Kit Harington's character is a mystery, as Martin's book "A Dance with Dragons" did not end well for the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. Jon's storyline in the book ended with him getting stabbed by members of the Night's Watch.
But because the HBO television series has not mirrored the books, there are chances he could live to see the next season.
"Game of Thrones" season 5 finale is set to air on 14 June.
