After Satyameva Jayate, Manoj Bajpayee is back with a psychological drama Gali Guleiyan which tells the story of a man who gets trapped in the bylanes of Chandni Chowk, Delhi. The movie features the adolescent non-actor Om Singh as a victim of child abuse. Significantly, Om suffered domestic violence of the most brutal kind at the hands of his real-life father and brother until he could take it no more.
The movie has been lauded by the critics for its gripping yet disturbing storyline which has been nicely weaved into a masterpiece. Manoj Bajpayee's performance has also been appreciated by the audience. The movie is directed by Dipesh Jain and also stars Shahana Goswami, Ranvir Shorey and Neeraj Kabi among others.
However, the movie has opened to a very low response in theatres and in some parts of the country the morning shows also reportedly got cancelled. The film has travelled and screened across more than 23 film festivals and received positive response.
Meanwhile, check out what audience has to say about Manoj Bajpayee starrer Gali Guleiyan.
