It was a mix of emotion for Indians on Monday, with Gagan Narang qualifying for the men's 10m air rifle final while Abhinav Bindra crashed out.
Gagan shot a total of 598 to qualify for the last round. However, India's first Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra failed to make it to the final, managing to shoot a round of 594.
Disappointments in archery continue with Lakshmi Bombayla Devi failing to make it to the quarter finals after going down 93-107 to Mexico's Aida Roman in the women's individual archery competition on Monday. She earlier beat Psarra Evangelia of Greece 6-4 to enter last 16.
