When 'BIGBANG' band members G-Dragon and Taeyang made a cameo on the JTBC show "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator", the food, banter and the bromance between the two shone through and through. In fact, fans of Jiyong (G-Dragon) and Young Bae (Taeyang) looked forward to watching their favourite idols so much that the show achieved high ratings of almost 7.5%.
The Korean variety show was filled with light-hearted conversation between GD and Taeyang and we had reported earlier that Young Bae made a candid statement about G-Dragon's inability to keep secrets.
On the show, audiences even learned that Taeyang has a very high threshold for alcohol. By his own admission, the singer said he felt drunk only when he downed six bottles of wine with Psy.
Perhaps this frankness between the two propelled the show's ratings. The previous week, "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator" gained 5.325%, and the reality cooking show beat KBS 2TV's dramas and overtook several shows that were aired on MBN, TVJoseon and Channel A, reported Allkpop.
Recently, BIGBANG wrapped up their "MADE" tour in China after travelling to 11 cities. Their fans in China thronged Chongqing and the local subway to watch BIGBANG's final performance. According to reports, the Kpop idol group's "MADE" tour lured in 180,000 fans in China.
Band members Seungri, G-Dragon, Taeyang, Daesung and T.O.P performed iconic songs such as "BANG BANG BANG", "Tonight" and "Stupid Liar," reported Soompi.
If their song "Let's Not Fall In Love" didn't make it to the line up, we are miffed.
The band is currently taking a break before travelling to Taiwan, Macau, Mexico, US and Australia later in the year.
