Kapil Sharma's successful stint on "Comedy Nights With Kapil" may have ended on an unhappy note, but the good work he has done on the show is getting him crazy returns. Sources say his wax statue will be up in six months time at the Madame Tussauds, London.
According to a SpotboyE report, a team from the museum flew down to Mumbai to get his measurements and click pictures. The proceedings went on in the city's posh J W Marriott Hotel. "These guys are so accurate. They even took measurements of his finger nails," a source told the entertainment portal.
Although there has been no official announcement yet, pictures shared by the website are sort of proof that the news could be true.
Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Katrina Kaif are stars who already have their wax figures stationed at the prestigious museum.
This year didn't start on a good note for the funnyman, who was at the receiving end of criticism from peer Krushna Abhishek. The "Comedy Nights Live" frontrunner stepped into Kapil's shoes but not before doing some damage to the latter's name.
Krushna drew critical attention for his fierce statements about Kapil. "Why couldn't he have had a healthy competition with me? Why did he run away? Why did he feel so insecure? He is such a talented artiste. I thought he'll fight back," he had told SpotboyE.
But Krushna's bitter words didn't injure Kapil emotionally as he maintained a stern silence until the day his new show, "The Kapil Sharma Show," was announced. "We are not competitors. We have worked on the same platform in many shows. He is doing well for himself," Absolute India quoted Kapil as saying.
Scheduled to air on Sony Entertainment, April 23 onwards, the finite series will star Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar, Sumona Chakravarti, Kiku Sharda, Chandan Prabhakar and Navjot Singh Sidhu in roles different from what they did in "CNWK."
