Suzuki's upcoming fully-faired bike Gixxer has been caught on camera without any camouflage ahead of its launch in the country, giving two-wheeler enthusiasts a first complete glimpse of the new Gixxer model.
Two-wheeler lovers in the country have seen the fully-faired version of Gixxer bike before as well, but this time the folks at GaadiWaadi have managed to snap the bike in its undisguised avatar. That is not all; the most interesting tidbit is that the bike is likely to go on sale in India as soon as April 2015. The original publisher of the spy shots also revealed that the fully-faired avatar of Gixxer is monikered as Suzuki Gixxer SLK.
From the images, it looks like the Gixxer SLK is not very different from the original Gixxer which hit the Indian market in September, last year. The power is likely to come from the same 154.9 cc four-stroke single cylinder air cooled engine, which can pump out a power of 14.8 PS @ 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14 Nm @ 6,000 rpm and Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology is also expected to be intact.
When launched, the fully-faired Gixxer model will be pitted against Yamaha FZ and Honda CBR and is likely to get a price tag of around ₹90,000. Gixxer 150 is currently priced at ₹72,199 (ex-showroom Delhi).
