A fresh spy shot of Suzuki's new fully faired Gixxer bike has emerged on the cyber space, consolidating our belief that the model is inching closer to its launch in the country.
The latest spy shots of Gixxer bike came from a Motoroids reader who is believed to have snapped the model inside the company's plant.
Judging from the image, the fully-faired Gixxer, purportedly called Gixxer SLK looks ready for shipment and needless to say the model shares more than a passing resemblance to Suzuki Gixxer 155. Most noticeable differences in the fully-faired Gixxer are the full front fairing and big windshield.
The riding posture and handlebars of the new Gixxer model seemed to be same that of Gixxer 155 and the bike was spotted in blue body paint with black panels. There is also yellow tinge on the rims.
The power is likely to come from the same 154.9 cc four-stroke single cylinder air cooled engine, which can pump out a power of 14.8 PS @ 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14 Nm @ 6,000 rpm and also expect Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology.
Previous reports have indicated that the new fully-faired version of Gixxer will be launched in India in April with a price tag around ₹90,000. Gixxer 150 is currently retailed with a price tag of ₹72,199 (ex-showroom Delhi).Once the new Gixxer hits Indian market, the model will rival Yamaha FZ and Honda CBR.
