The Bharatiya Janata Party has released its first list of candidates contesting in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections which will be spread out over April and May and will take place in seven phases.
Prime Minister Modi will contest again from Varanasi. However, the BJP delivered a shocker when they announced that BJP president Amit Shah will contest from Gandhinagar in Gujarat and not BJP veteran LK Advani.
