Every year, several young talents head towards Bollywood to make a career in the film industry. But only some make it big in the rat race.
The past couple of years witnessed an entry of new faces in Bollywood. Actresses like Alia Bhatt, Yamini Gautam and Parineeti Chopra made their film debut with a bang. Others like Tamanna Bhatia and Sashaa Agha failed to impress critics and viewers with their lukewarm performances.

Here are some of the top new faces in Bollywood:
Alia Bhatt, who is probably the youngest Bollywood actress, made her debut in Karan Johar's "Student Of The Year" released in 2012. The 20-year-old starlet has finished shooting for Imtiaz Ali's "Highway". Her next upcoming film is "2 States" in which she is paired with Arjun Kapoor.
Parineeti Chopra started her career with 2011 romantic comedy "Ladies vs Ricky Bahl" for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. In 2012, she played the female lead in Yashraj's "Ishaqzaade" for which she won the National Film Award - Special Mention at the 60th National Film Awards. The 24-year-old is currently busy with her upcoming film "Shuddh Desi Romance" which is set to release on 6 September.
Yami Gautam made her Bollywood debut in Shoojit Sircar's romantic comedy "Vicky Donor" in 2012 for which she received IIFA Awards for Best Debut Female. Gautam started her acting career as a television actress. She will next be seen in romantic comedy "Aman Ki Asha".
Shraddha Kapoor made her acting debut with "Teen Patti" in 2010. She then played the female lead in "Luv Ka The End" for which she earned Stardust Searchlight Award For Best Actress. Kapoor shot to fame in 2013 with blockbuster film "Aashiqui 2". The young actress, daughter of veteran actor Shakti Kapoor, will next be seen in "Gori Tere Pyaar Mein" which is slated to release in November.
Diana Penty started her filmy career in Homi Adajania's directorial venture "Cocktail" opposite Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone. She started her modelling career in 2005 when she walked the ramp for Italian designers Trussadi and Ferre.
Illena D'Cruz, who previously appeared in Telugu films, made her Bollywood debut in Anurag Basu's 'Barfi!" which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. D'Cruz won Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for the film. Her upcoming film is "Phata Poster Nikla Hero" in which she is paired opposite Shahid Kapoor.
Esha Gupta, daughter of a retired air-force officer, first appeared in Kunal Deshmukh's "Jannat 2" followed by "Raaz 3D" and "Chakravyuh". In 2007, she participated in Femina Miss India and came third.
Huma Qureshi made her debut in critically acclaimed film "Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 1". She was also featured in "Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 2". The 26-year-old actress later appeared in the comedy "Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana". In 2013, she played the role of a witch in the supernatural thriller "Ek Thi Daayan". Her latest release is "D-Day" which stars Arjun Rampal, Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan.
Sashaa Agha, daughter of Pakistani actress Salma Agha, made her debut with a glamorous role in Yash Raj Films "Aurangazeb" which bombed at the box office. Agha is set to be featured in Yash Raj Films's next untitled project.
Tamannaah Bhatia, who shot to fame in Bollywood with "Himmatwala", made her acting debut in "Chand Sa Roshan Chehra" released in 2005. In 2013, she was featured opposite Ajay Devgn in "Himmatwala" which turned out to be a disaster. Bhatia is presently working in two Hindi films - "It's Entertainment" and "Humshakal", which are set to release next year.
