This Friday (29 November) will see Saif Ali Khan's rusty action flick "Bullett Raja" begin its box office run, posing an indirect threat to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-leela".
Tigmanshu Dhulia's "Bullett Raja' will have Saif in an action avatar along with Sonakshi Sinha and Jimmy Shergill. The film's promos have received positive reviews and the marketing has been commendable.
The film has all the elements of a Dhulia directorial, and has ignited curiosity around the Saif-Jimmy camaraderie. Action star Vidyut Jamwal as the villain adds more to the film's appeal.
The film also has an added advantage for being a single big ticket release. Its release is quite likely to have an impact on Deepika-Ranveer's "Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-leela" which is presently in its second week of theatrical run.
Bhansali's film has been quite a success as it took merely 10 days to enter the elite ₹100-crore club and thus being the second film to hit the mark after Salman Khan's "Dabanng". Its earnings presently stand at ₹101 crore roughly.
"Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-leela" has successfully taken a toll on the previous week's releases - "Gori Tere Pyaar Mein" and "Singh Saab The Great". Not only has the film fared well in the domestic market but has also overridden "Krrish 3" in its overseas collections.
The film's business might get affected with the release of the Saif Ali Khan starrer on Friday.
"Bullett Raja" boasts of an A-list cast. Saif and Sonakshi will be paired for the first time in this film. Director Dhulia has claimed it to be his most commercial project yet and hence expectations of the film are high.
"Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-leela" will enter its third week on Friday, allowing "Bullett Raja" to cash in on being the major release of the week.
