From Sidharth Malhotra - Parineeti Chopra in the soon to-be released "Hasee Toh Phasee" and Farhan Akhtar-Vidya Balan in "Shaadi ke Side Effects" to Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor in "Two States", there are quite a few films, which are set to grab viewers' attention with their interesting pairings and loaded chemistry.
A look at the fresh leads in the upcoming releases of 2014:
Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra: The duo's "Hasse Toh Phasee" has garnered a positive response with its trailer and the pairing looks fresh and vibrant for the romantic comedy, which is to release this Friday.
Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda: Imtiaz Ali's choice of the duo for his road trip project "Highway" raised many eyebrows. Though the couple might look a bit odd, the film has an interesting aspect as kidnapped Alia will be seen falling her for her abductor Randeep.
Vidya Balan and Farhan Akhtar: The talented Vidya and equally credible Farhan make quite a grand Jodi in "Shaadi ke Side Effects". The film, a sequel to "Pyaar Ke Side Effects" will see the actors as a married couple and the pair has raised the expectation of the audience.
Sonam Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana: In another first time pairing by Yash Raj Films, the stylish Sonam will be seen opposite Ayushmann in the romantic flick "Bewakoofiyaan." The poster of the film is out but only the promos of the film will decide whether the duo's screen presence rocks or flops.
Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor: The two young stars will appear as couple in "Two States" based on Chetan Bhagat's novel of the same name. One of the most anticipated films of the year, Alia will play the south Indian belle falling for Arjun, who will play the Punjabi groom.

Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma: Ranbir pairing with Anushka in Anurag Kashyap's "Bombay Velvet" has been the talking point of the film, ever since the duo signed on the dotted line. The duo hosted TOIFA awards together in 2013 and showed an interesting camaraderie giving ample hints of their equation in the upcoming film.
Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor: Sidharth's third film "The Villain" will be opposite Shraddha Kapoor. The film tagged as a dark flick will have a romantic angle between the two stars and is tentatively set for a June release.
