After a long wait, "Fresh off the Boat" is returning to ABC with season 2 on Tuesday, 22 September, and the premiere episode is going to redefine what family holidays mean.
Although the fans are tired of the long break, the Huangs are in dire need of one. In episode 1, "Family Business Trip", we will see them going on a family vacation/tour. For the Huangs, whose matriarch is Jessica (Constance Wu), a family vacation would obviously be coupled with a business event. From someone who says, "Your job is a vacation... from poverty", you can't really expect anything more.
Jessica, in fact, may be following her husband's footsteps and venturing into business herself. Last season, we saw her passing the exam to become a realtor and thus, we are assuming that the new business that she begins with her friend Honey (Chelsey Crisp) will have to do with the same.
One thing that the fans might miss in season 2 is Eddie's (Hudson Yang) narration, but we will get to see more of his brothers, Evan (Ian Chen) and Emery (Forrect Wheeler). In the upcoming episode, we will see Evan, the youngest Huang, struggling with growing up. He has lost his last baby tooth, which makes him wonder what he is, if not a baby. He feels like he is losing his brand value as the baby of the house.
Watch out for season 2 episode 1 of "Fresh Off the Boat" at 8.30 pm (EST) on ABC. You can also live stream "Family Business Trip" via ABC Go!
