A unique ensemble of modern art and science and technology, the fourth Signal Festival is currently underway in Prague, Czech Republic. Displaying light-based art installations that will be showcased at night from October 13 to 16, this year's festival is expected to outdo its previous record.
The festival is expected to draw over a million attendees this year, as capital city Prague and the Ministry of Culture have included SIGNAL among the ranks of top priority cultural events.
One project, for instance, attempts to find out if and how one can paint with light. Using a series of software research reflected light, the interactive art installation titled "Reflection Studies" allows attendees to test and generate mesmerising effects using lights and shadows.
Another art piece titled "The Resonator" uses lasers to create a unique audio visual experience. The name is also symbolic of philosophical subtext and is described as originating from the idea that every human being is a kind of sociocultural resonator.
