Fourth of July, one of the most anticipated days of the year, is here. While the American Independence Day - which commemorates the independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain in 1776 - might be a day to look through the American history and reminisce every good thing the land has ever achieved, the day is also commonly associated with carnivals, fairs, barbecues, parades and most important of all - the fireworks.
The good news is, there are dozens of fireworks displays across all the major US cities and no one will miss a glimpse of the most awaited glittering pyrotechnics.
Here is a list of cities and spots where one could catch up a great show and also the information on where and how to watch them:
1. Chicago
Navy Pier Fireworks of Chicago, thought to be the largest Independence Day celebration fireworks, is an unmissable spot for a grant razzmatazz of colors and glitz.
Fireworks with synchronized music will steal hearts with the unobstructed views anywhere along the shoreline, although Chicago has ample other vantage points to catch the great spectacle.

2. New York City
It is hard to imagine another more spectacular show than Macy's 4th of July Fireworks - an event that attracts as much as 3 million city viewers. This year, the 38th Annual Macy's 4th of July Fireworks makes its return to the east river and will light up the night from the Brooklyn Bridge - one of the city's most famous landmarks.
Celebrities such as Enrique Eglesias, Ariana Grande, Zac Brown Band among others will be expected to perform in the show from the Brooklyn Bridge that can be watched live on NBC at 8pm EST. For more details, click HERE.
3. Washington, D.C
Fireworks in the capital city are one of the biggest as Washington receives one of the highest influx of tourists around Independence Day.
The most famous of the fireworks is the National Mall Independence Day Celebration. The 20-minute show will mesmerize the onlookers, with sizzling lights radiating the night sky and illuminating the historic Reflection Pool.

4. San Francisco
If you thought it was only the East coast where people have all the Fourth of July fun, you might like to think again.
San Francisco will give you some great options to witness one of the most memorable, patriotic celebrations you will see.
According to news sources, Pier 39 is hosting a full day of music and entertainment with jazz and blues bands giving their performances.
Fireworks will begin at 9:30pm local time and will be launched from the base of Municipal pier. Take note of places such as Coit Tower, Aquatic Park, the Cannery and Ghirardelli Square for more fun.
5. Boston
Known as one of Boston's biggest yearly events, the Boston Pops Firework Spectacular will draw over 800,000 people each year, making it the most special place to be for the occasion.
Fireworks, lasting for 20 minutes, will keep your eyes gazing into the illuminating night.

6. Atlanta
The world class concert and fun-filled fireworks show will attract thousands of people in downtown Atlanta's Centennial Olympic park. The live show that promises to bring in great dance and R&B music will open after 6pm with American Idol's Taylor Hicks handling the entertainment.

There are other shows to catch up in the city, just in case you miss the park. Celebrate Fourth of July at Lenox Square Mall in Cuckhead or the Decatur July 4th Celebrations, with fireworks, which starts at 9pm.
7. Los Angeles
Southern California also has plenty to offer come Fourth of July. The Hollywood Bowl in the Santa Monica Mountains will give you a glimpse of the beautiful view of the downtown Los Angeles skyline.
Grand Park in the city's civic center will be a good spot if you don't want to spend too much. But visiting California without a trip to the beach would not be wise. Redondo Beach will be a nice place to be while catching some spectacular pyrotechnics. The fireworks begin at 9pm.
8. Houston
There is no dearth of places to be in Houston this Independence Day as the city will host many fireworks displays. Eleanor Tinsley Park will host "Feedom Over Texas show" on the Fourth. Reports indicate Junnifer Nettles of the Sugarland will be joined by Chip Esten and Clare Bowen from the hit TV Show 'Nashville.' Tickets will cost $8.
Miller Outdoor Theater is also hosting a concert at 8:30pm which has promised a rendition of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture -along with an incredible fireworks event.
