Samsung is willing to take every chance it gets to pounce on rivals like Apple, Xiaomi and other brands. In a bid to attract consumers of all price ranges in smartphone market, Samsung may be adding four new smartphones next year to give more options for shoppers.
The latest set of leaks from South Korea and Russia show new smartphones that will serve both entry-level and high-end smartphone range with specs impressive enough to grab consumers' eye.
The new leaks reveal full specs of Samsung's much-rumored Galaxy A7 and Galaxy E5 smartphones along with two new smartphones, Galaxy Grand Max and Galaxy J1. The high-end smartphone of all, the Galaxy A7, gets a close up.
According to a report from SamMobile, a South Korean catalogue indicated the Galaxy A7 to come in three variants. As for the specs, the handset will feature a 5.2-inch full HD super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, android 4.4.4 KitKat and a microSD slot.
The report further adds that a 13-megapixel camera will be fitted on the rear side of the device while a 5MP snapper at the front. The Galaxy A7 will reportedly be the slimmest of all Samsung smartphones to date at just 6.3mm. Despite that there will be a 2,500mAh battery to keep the device running.
According to another report, Samsung is slated to unveil the handset on January 14 in South Korea but no plans have been revealed about the handset's release in the global market.
SamMobile also spotted the Galaxy Grand Max in the leaked report. The features for the handset include a 5.2-inch TFT display, 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and a microSD slot. Like the Galaxy A7, the Grand Max will also feature a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front shooter and support LTE networks. The Grand Max previously appeared on Tenaa certification site as SM-G7200 and is likely the successor to the existing Galaxy Grand 2.
In a separate leak from a Russian news site, Samsung Galaxy E5 smartphone specs were revealed. According to NDTV, the smartphone will have a 5-inch full HD display, 1.9GHz quad-core processor, 8MP rear-facing camera, 2MP front snapper, dual-SIM support and 4G LTE connectivity.
Finally, details of a new Galaxy J1 smartphone also emerged indicating at a budget smartphone with entry-level specs. The new handset is said to feature a 4.3-inch VGA screen, a 1.2GHz Spreadtrum quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 5MP rear snapper, 4GB storage and support for dual-SIM, 4G LTE as well as 3G.
