"Father's Day" ended with a big bang in "The Fosters", with Mike (Danny Nucci) announcing that he intended to adopt troubled teen AJ (Tood Williamson), whom Callie (Maia Mithcell) blames for losing her job at the foster centre. Episode 3 "Deja Vu" will see Callie coping with the news.
In the promo for the third episode of this season, Callie is seen warning AJ that if her moms knew, they would never let him stay at their place. Would Callie tell her parents that he is the reason she got fired?
Regardless, her moms may have a few issues of their own, with Lena (Sherri Saum) having kissed Monte (Annika Marks) in the season 2 finale. Although it was barely a peck and the two quickly went their different ways, Lena would have to disclose it to Stef (Teri Polo), who being a cop will dig it out anyway.
In the promo, during a group dinner, Lena and Monte are seen sharing a tender stare, after which Stef is seen asking her partner if she knew Monte was gay. Lena fumbles a bit, but as fans of Stef-Lena power-couple, we can only hope that the educator tells her wife about the brief kiss, before everything goes terribly wrong.
Meanwhile, another young couple is also having trouble; Jude (Hayden Byerly) and Connor (Gavin MacIntosh). While "Jonnor" fans are ecstatic about their being an open couple finally, Jude may be going down a spiral, seeing as he is still reeling from the shooting incident. In the promo, he is seen telling his boyfriend that he wants to go to a gun range.
